Disconnect the vacuum sensor. Step 3.2. Squeeze the clamp with combination pliers and disconnect the vacuum valve hose. Step 4. Unscrew the clamps and disconnect the charger intake hose from the air filter housing. Step 5. Loosen the binding clamps attaching the air duct to the air filter housing and to the charger.

The DPF DPF050 was £91.66 + VAT. Both have fitting kits. A very reasonable postage of £8.32 plus VAT, I have paid a grand total of £312.91. If the garage had done as instructed, I probably wouldn't be in this position since the Peugeot CATs (DOC) are super reliable.

Change your engine oil along with oil filter because the same oil is used to cool down your turbo and any dirt means you're going to damage your turbo. Also check the diesel/petrol filter and replace it if not serviced in last two years.

This was the case recently when I investigated an (apparent) common rail diesel fuel system problem on a Peugeot 307 HDI for a friend who runs an independent garage. The vehicle was a model year 2005 with 2 litre engine, engine code RHR.
The garage drained the oil, replaced the turbo, flushed the pipes and replaced the filter. After approx 300 miles the turbo failed. The turbo was replaced using the same process. The 2nd turbo failed in just over 2,000 miles . Again, motorway driving. Pulled over, got the AA out and was towed home. jwuQM.
