Yet if it was a GW2 server issue, one would think others outside of OZ would also be having problems. As of a couple of mins ago when I exited game it was still going, chat was acting up and slow and the party I was in lost everyone, most where friends that all went offline and then all came back online and part auto reformed again.
This happens when the launcher fails to connect to the patch server. If you previously had problems patching and edited the hosts file to fix it, you need to remove that edit. If you didn't, either something is blocking GW2's access to the internet or your DNS is outdated (press WindowsKey+R open: ipconfig /flushdns). /r/GuildWars2 is the primary community for Guild Wars 2 on Reddit. Until 2 weeks ago when there was a connection problem it was for both the accounts andSolution that worked for me;Copying a GW2 exe from my other laptop that did not have any GW2 connection problems. If u dont have that, try downloading the GW2 setup version u want (32,64 or mac) and rename that accordingly.
Been using it for years and no bans. Vpns are unlikely to help you as the traffic is encrypted adding an extra overhead. They also don't optimise for game path.It means GW2 can't download from the patch server (assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com).Either your DNS is outdated or something is blocking it. If you've previously solved this problem by modifying the hosts file, the IP is expired, so you'll need to remove it or find a new IP (65.8.62.23).
Creating an unfun ingame experience for your customers (yes, scourge mains are your cutomers too) is not a way to solve problems.
It seems to be a problem with Amazon servers (at least in Europe). Look at this hop: 13 --- 50/ 50 =100% 0/ 50 = 0% 52.93.16.185 This IP is associated with an Amazon server in Dublin. I have been trying for 2 days now to get a playable connection. I'll try again this weekend and if I'm feeling really generous next weekend.
